Slow News ....

Been slow news days in Stamford lately. The one thing I noticed over the past few months as the economy went to hell is that people seemed to slow down, taking it easier, not as likely to honk their horn, not in a big hurry, not being so rude.

But lately I'm afraid the horror of the economic meltdown may be wearing off and people are slowly going back to their old ways. I was hoping that egotistical mindset had taking a fatal blow. Oh well. We'll see how that goes.

Otherwise not much going on. Not much to spot. Not been eating out. Not buying material things. And troubling because Stamford is losing things to do that don't involve eating or shopping. Stamford Center for the Arts goes bankrupt. The red barn's closing down. What's next? What's left?

The one thing we did the other day was stop at the playground at Mill River Park and I ran around with the kids. That was fun. Maybe it's time to focus more attention on things we can do without spending a lot of dough. Or just hunker down and hope for better times.
